Postcards from Moscow

29.11.2017

This postcard greeting comes from Moscow, from a trip I took to the capital to attend a conference on timber architecture.

As part of the program, we set aside time for a walking tour to experience the city on foot. We visited Red Square and saw the white government building by the Moscow River, known as the White House in Moscow—the common name for the House of the Government of the Russian Federation, which also serves as the seat of the Russian government. Broad avenues, historic buildings, and striking contrasts between old and new defined the walk. The cold lingered in the air, but the impressions were many and inspiring.
