Aspropyrgos Water Treatment Plant (AsWTP)

The fully automated and modern facilities have been in operation since 1997. The Aspropyrgos WTP occupies an area of 8.35 hectares.

The Aspropyrgos WTP is located directly below the Mornos aqueduct, thus the raw water is supplied via gravity flow. It is comprised of four identical lines with a total nominal daily water treatment capacity of 200,000 m3.

The Aspropyrgos WTP primarily supplies the portion of the distribution network that services the area of the Thriasio Pedio and Salamina, however it can also supply the eastern suburbs of Athens.
